TSAA Conference 2023

Gill Adams from our South Australian Technology Core office, attended the TSAA (Tasmanian Schools Administration Association) Conference  at the  Paranaple Convention Centre in Devonport last week on the 23rd-24th August. Gill wanted to share her thoughts on the show as well as some photos of the event.

On the stand with our Tasmanian partner Phil Hughes Office Solutions, we had a wonderful 2 days meeting the school business managers from all over Tasmania.

There was plenty going on with the HDi edge2.0 interactive screen and the spin the wheel prize draw with some great little giveaways as prizes. Our now well renowned squeezy stress cows proved popular as always and by Friday morning were all gone!

The GBC Foton Laminator also proved really popular, just load up your sheets and walk away!

After a big day of meeting with many different people, it was time to let our hair down with the conference dinner.

The theme for the dinner on Thursday night was Glitz and Glamour, and it certainly lived up to it. There were lots of sparkles and glitter and a good time had by all. The band were fantastic and had everyone up dancing, showing off their impressive moves, after we had finished our delicious food.

The party begins

With sore feet (and a few sore heads), we were very pleased to see the HDi interactive screen being wheeled up on stage on Friday morning to be used for the association’s AGM meeting.

Friday morning was also our chance for a presentation to the members of the TSAA. We talked about the changes to the Australian curriculum and how we can support teachers in embracing and using interactive technology in all areas of teaching. The follow-up questions from the delegates there shows the various areas we can assist in getting the best from interactive tech using their devices in their classrooms.

It was over so quickly and I’m looking forward to visiting Devonport again as well as the rest of Tasmania in the coming months.

Thanks Tasmania, the TSAA and Phil Hughes Office for having us there!
